My pics of the two nights on Flickr

video on Youtube

The 3rd July I was lucky enough to catch the "Fables Of The Reconstruction night"!! Man.. when I heard "feeling gravity's pull" guitar's intro I just went crazy and what about Auctioneer and Kohoutek!?
Fables is one of my favourite rem album!
Then the 4th... Carnival Of Sorts and Harborcoat were the highlights for me! The new songs have a great energy and I saw the guys in top form, joking and laughing!

Video for Rehearsal 1

They're coming thick and fast now. REM rehearsal 1 - the DVD - is now up for download from

http://www.murmurs.com/torrents

It's a mothertapes product and I know from the REM Point Theatre DVDs I've got this should be really exceptional. I still cannot believe that the second Point Theatre show isn't professionally done.

At 3.75GB I'm not sure how long it'll take to download, but should be worth every minute. The more people downloading and sharing the quicker it'll be for everyone - so get downloading...

Just noticed that the Dave Fanning Podcast has been updated with the REM interviews. About 30 minutes of REM in conversation. Pretty good stuff.

The podcast is called: RTE - Drivetime with Dave

A little miffed, to be brutally honest, that the encores were the same both nights (but then again that did mean we got my all-time favourite REM track - These days - twice, so it's really only a minor moan) and personally I'm still not struck with I'm Gonna DJ, but holy cow, what about the rest of the show?

Moments of R.E.M. zen on a Dublin reccé

Tagged:  •

So I hopped over to Dublin this weekend with some friends. Call it a reccé ;)

I was pleasantly surprised by a number of R.E.M. moments of zen. So, As an indication of how much this city must like R.E.M., by means of warming up for the next couple of weeks...
