This is still not a show - Wednesday Night

Just got back from the Independence Day show. Another cracking night. Mostly Chronic Town mixed in with the new stuff tonight (although Circus Envy was an interesting choice from Monster). They certainly mixed up the new songs too. Didn't play them in the same order as previous nights and some souned quite different too. There was an interesting few minutes where the band decided how one of the new songs should end. After some discussion amongst themselves, and a straw pole from the audience, they re-played the ending and decided that they had it sussed.

Michael made mention of his Mum in the audience - by way of apologising for telling a story about blow jobs. Still didn't get the link to Harborcoat myself...

Once again, the sound was tops, the band were in top form, and the music never sounded better.

This was my last night to see REM (in the Olympia) and I reckon I will never have the sheer luck to see them at a venue like this any time in the future. Anyone going along tomorrow night - enjoy the show..
