LATE MONDAY ROUNDUP FROM DUBLIN
It was an absolutely amazing week in Dublin, and we wanted to take the time to thank ALL of you for making this site a worthwhile undertaking by REMHQ and everyone else involved in its formulation (Ethan Kaplan at Warner in particular). Thanks to all of you who took the time to add comments, photos, info, and blog posts. The "shows" in Dublin rocked with fantastic crowds every single night and remdublin.com had great crowds too which played a big part in the success of the week at a different level.
As R.E.M. begins the second phase of their recording sessions at Grouse Lodge in Westmeath today, we wanted to post one last roundup from Dublin. Here's a look back at a handful of reviews from the superb five nights of "this is not a show" rehearsals as well as some links to point you in the direction of video, blogs, photos, and podcasts from the week.

Here is how I responded:
Generally what I do for news is I organize some Favorites in a tab on my Firefox browser (I think Safari has a similar feature) and open them all at once for easily going back and forth.
My essential favorites under the Politics tab are:

We've come from the stone-age in 1999 with a phone line and a sluggish third-hand computer build-up specially to follow the news on REM, to this new era of superfast on-the-spot (on-the-fly?) news, and we love it!
The best has yet to come, to quote Michael in one of the great new songs!

Real Gems, some in the raw, others polished enough to fit straight on the record.
For instance 'On the Fly' made the same impact as Country Feedback did to us in 1999 on the field of Rock Werchter.
Janet could forget all the pain and sorrow from previous months, wathing this happen was priceless.
It has this trip to Dublin chiseled in our memories forever!
